Visit the magical land of the fairy tale, as we perform some of the loveliest musical versions of those best-loved stories that have been read for generations. The performance of Humperdinck’s richly evocative music from his opera Hansel & Gretel is a German Christmas tradition, while Tchaikovsky’s suite from the ballet The Sleeping Beauty is a shimmering, magical depiction of good and evil fairies, Puss in Boots and the slumbering Princess Aurora. Mozart’s joyful, elegant Piano Concerto is a sparkling companion to these stories from the opera and ballet stage.
